The Citadel is seeking an Instructional Designer and Technologist I to support Canvas, learning technology, and faculty success on campus in Charleston, South Carolina. You will be a go-to resource for Canvas and related tools, providing training, troubleshooting, and collaboration on course design across departments.

Occasional evening/weekend work may be required; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, information technology, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in educational technology, instructional design, online learning, or LMS and learning technology support.
• Hands-on experience with Canvas or a comparable LMS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a service-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines tied to the academic calendar.
• Ability to work on campus in Charleston, South Carolina.

Mansioni

• Serve as a Canvas SME, assisting with configuration, troubleshooting, and system updates.
• Manage and support instructional technology tools integrated with Canvas, including Canvas Studio and tools such as DesignPLUS and UDOIT.
• Provide clear, timely, and patient support for Canvas and instructional technology questions from faculty, staff, and students.
• Design and deliver workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff on Canvas and instructional technologies.
• Develop and deliver online orientation for students, faculty, and staff, including coordination with Academic Orientation.
• Build and maintain Canvas-based resource courses, guides, and other support materials, keeping them current.
