Job summary

Arizona State University’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) seeks a collaborative Teaching and Learning Specialist to advance teaching and learning across the college’s academic programs. You will partner with faculty and academic leaders to design, build, and continuously enhance high-quality learning experiences that support student engagement, academic achievement, and career readiness.

The Teaching and Learning Specialist focuses on developing, organizing, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and five or more years in related field or equivalent
• Proven ability to design and build Canvas courses with engaging content
• Ability to translate complex material into clear, structured learning experiences for adults
• Experience creating synchronous distance education courses
• Experience producing multimedia content using common authoring tools
• Experience using instructional technologies to support online and hybrid teaching
• Ability to provide training and support in higher education settings
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills in an academic setting
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Canvas courses across programs
• Partner with faculty to improve course design and engagement
• Apply accessibility standards and QA practices to ensure student-centered learning
• Develop Canvas templates and instructional resources; support faculty development
• Evaluate course quality using feedback and instructional best practices
