Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking qualified Cantonese-English interpreters for US-based telephonic remote interpreting. You will handle on-demand calls and facilitate communication across diverse settings while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Applicants should be fluent in English and Cantonese, have a quiet workspace, and preferably 1+ years of interpreting experience. Certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Cantonese.
• Technology proficient (web-based platforms, email, Microsoft Word).
• An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)

As a US based telephonic interpreter for Cantonesein LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you are responsible for handling telephone calls on demand and facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters!
