Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Interpreter to facilitate interpretation for patients and families across languages. You will provide sight and written translations of materials, assist with patient navigation, and coordinate interpreter services for appointments and procedures.

Responsibilities include confirming appointment dates, responding to on-call requests, and guiding LEP patients through hospital processes.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Medical Interpreter Certificate is required
• National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters preferred
• Healthcare and/or medical interpreting experience 2-3 years preferred

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate interpretation services for patients and families in multiple languages
• Provide sight and written translations of materials such as pre/post-operative and discharge information
• Coordinate and train staff on use of telephone interpretation services
• Answer calls promptly and interpret in a friendly, professional manner
• Assist LEP patients in navigating the hospital and administrative processes
• Possibly travel to second location as needed
• May take on-call interpretation requests for nights or weekends
• Assist with scheduling interpreters for assignments
