Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler at our North Canton outlet store.

You will move donated materials and salvage commodities, sort items into designated locations, and support all areas of the salvage process while cross-training for other store functions. This role helps fund job training and placement programs; you will be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to empowering individuals and communities.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate tipping equipment and be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to use safety PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Knowledge of different shades and tones of color.
• Knowledge of merchandise across categories.
• Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Move donated materials, salvage commodities, trash, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on/off trucks and sort into designated locations within the store.
• Assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross-train to cover other designated job descriptions as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to stores, admin, and all other vendors/donors.

Material Handler - Canton Outlet Store

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is hiring a Material Handler to join our team at our North Canton outlet store! In this vital role, you will be at the heart of our mission, handling donated materials and ensuring they are properly processed for sale. You'll move donated goods, salvage commodities, refuse, equipment, and other materials on and off trucks, sort items into designated locations, and support all areas of the salvage sorting process. This position offers excellent cross-training opportunities to expand your skills across multiple store functions.

Primary duties include moving donated materials, salvage commodities, trash, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on/off trucks, and sorting them properly into designated locations within the store. Will assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross-train to cover other specified job descriptions within the plant as needed. Provide excellent customer service to the stores, admin, and all other vendors/donors.

Required Skills & Experience
