Job summary

Auberge Collection’s Mauna Lani property is seeking a temporary Host for CanoeHouse during the festive season in Hawaii. You will greet guests with warmth and aloha, escort guests to tables, and coordinate reservations, station flow, and pacing in a fast-paced, high‑volume setting.

A prior Host/Hostess luxury-hotel background is preferred, along with menu knowledge and the ability to deliver a polished, luxury guest experience.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High school graduate preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• Must obtain a Tuberculosis clearance.
• CPR and/or first aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort guests with warmth, maintain aloha tone.
• Manage reservations, server stations, and timing.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the menu and ingredients.
• Provide luxury guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Job Description

This is a temporary position from December 23, 2026 through January 6, 2027 during the festive season.

The base salary for this position is $24.05 hourly.

The Host is the guest's first impression of our flagship, fine dining restaurant, CanoeHouse. This person holds a very important role as they set the tone, pace and vibe for the room with a warm greeting, eye contact and aloha. Proper, accurate and kind escorting is critical along with managing reservations, server stations and timing patterns of our guests. This person has a complete working knowledge of the menu and menu ingredients. The successful candidate will work in a face paced and high volume work environment and provide consistent luxury guest experience. Previous Host/Hostess experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred.
