The Host/Hostess at Mauna Lani Pool & Beach restaurant is the guest's first impression, greeting with aloha and guiding seating. The role requires menu knowledge, quick pacing, and a premium guest experience in a luxury hotel environment.

This temporary position runs December 23, 2026 through January 6, 2027. Previous luxury-hotel hosting experience is preferred; high school education is common; Tuberculosis clearance and CPR/first aid certifications are preferred. Based at Kohala Coast, Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High school graduate preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain Tuberculosis clearance. CPR and/or first aid certifications preferred.

Job Description

This is a temporary position from December 23, 2026 through January 6, 2027 during the festive season.

The base salary for this position is$24.05 hourly.

The Host/Hostess is the guest's first impression of our Pool & Beach restaurant, and this person holds a very important role. The Host/Hostess sets the tone, pace, and vibe for the room with a warm greeting, eye contact, and aloha. Proper, accurate, and kind escorting is critical, along with managing reservations, server stations, and timing patterns of our guests. This person has a complete working knowledge of the menu and menu ingredients. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment and provide a consistent luxury guest experience. Previous Host/Hostess experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred.
