Job summary

Mauna Lani – Auberge Collection on the Kohala Coast seeks a Host/Hostess for our Pool & Beach restaurant. This is a temporary role from December 23, 2026 through January 6, 2027, offering the luxury guest experience our guests expect.

The Host/Hostess welcomes guests with aloha, manages reservations, escorts guests to tables, and coordinates server stations and timing to maintain a smooth, high-volume operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Tuberculosis clearance.
• CPR and/or first aid certifications preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• High school graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and set the tone, pace, and vibe of the dining room with a warm greeting and aloha.
• Manage reservations, server stations, and timing patterns to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the menu and ingredients to assist guests accurately.
• Provide a consistent luxury guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Job Description

This is a temporary position from December 23, 2026 through January 6, 2027 during the festive season.

The base salary for this position is $24.05 hourly.

The Host/Hostess is the guest's first impression of our Pool & Beach restaurant, and this person holds a very important role. The Host/Hostess sets the tone, pace, and vibe for the room with a warm greeting, eye contact, and aloha. Proper, accurate, and kind escorting is critical, along with managing reservations, server stations, and timing patterns of our guests. This person has a complete working knowledge of the menu and menu ingredients. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment and provide a consistent luxury guest experience. Previous Host/Hostess experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred.

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High school graduate preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.
