Job summary

Adventure Team in Juneau and Ketchikan is seeking a Canoe Guide to lead guests in a 20 passenger Tlingit-style canoe near the face of a living glacier or across a secluded Alaskan mountain lake. Wages start at $15.00 per hour. Positions are available in Juneau and Ketchikan, with lake kayaking on Mendenhall Lake.

Responsibilities include safety briefings, paperwork, equipment maintenance, food service during snacks, and delivering engaging narration about local flora, fauna and history.

• Leading guests in a 20 passenger Tlingit-style canoe near the face of a living glacier or across a secluded Alaskan mountain lake
• Provide pre-trip safety and skills briefing for the guests and operation of a safe tour
• Accurate completion of administrative paperwork
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and facilities
• Sanitary food service during the snack portion of the tour
• Learn the information necessary to deliver an entertaining and informed narrative including flora, fauna, and natural history of the area
• Create a positive, professional culture and work environment
• Understand and comply with company safety and operational policies

• Providing pre-trip safety and skills briefing for the guests & operation of a safe tour

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and facilities
