Job summary

Verano Holdings is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service, educate customers, and assist with store operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will greet shoppers, explain product options, ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations, handle transactions at the POS, and help maintain accurate inventory.

Candidates should have 1-2 years in retail or hospitality, be 21+, and be eager to learn about cannabinoids and product applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21+ and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Background check and appropriate state badging as directed by state ordinances.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Be an advocate of cannabis customer care and education.
• Help customers and patients navigate cannabis products and educate on usage as a wellness product.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and storefront.
• Provide information on product types, methods, and efficacy (no medical advice).
• Complete transactions at the POS and ensure inventory accuracy in METRC/BioTrack systems.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
