Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Retail Lead to act as an operational extension of the store manager. You will oversee floor flow, guest service, and shift team performance, while supporting inventory control and discount code execution.

Responsibilities include coaching 25+ team members on sales metrics, managing openings/closings, cash reconciliation, and POS operations. Illinois compliance knowledge is required to pass inspections and reduce deficiencies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in the cannabis industry.
• Leadership background for large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Must be 21+ and possess (or be able to obtain) an Illinois Agent Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift team and oversee the sales floor operational efficiency.
• Coach and give sales feedback to the team on their shift and improve location metrics.
• Inventory control and shrinkage reduction through proper scanning of products.
• Manage openings/closings, cash reconciliation, POS systems, and discount codes.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois rules during inspections and reduce deficiencies.
