High Plainz Strains in Fort Lupton, CO, is seeking a full-time Retail Assistant Manager to lead the store as Manager-on-Duty and oversee the retail team. You will manage cash, assist with customer service, and ensure operations comply with Colorado cannabis regulations.

The ideal candidate has retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work open availability including weekends. Cannabis experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Colorado cannabis badge.
• Proven cash handling accuracy with drawer counts and documentation.
• Experience in retail with accuracy, accountability and procedures.
• Strong communication and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, including regular opening and closing responsibilities.
• Supervise budtenders and front desk staff to ensure strong customer service and sales performance.
• Open and close the dispensary, including drawer counts and end-of-day cash reporting.
• Perform accurate cash handling, tracking, and required documentation.
• Process discounts, and pricing issues within the POS system.
• Address escalated customer service issues professionally and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all MED regulations, state cannabis laws, and company SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready sales floor.
• Delegate tasks and support staff performance throughout each shift.
• Count, record, and distribute employee tips accurately, including front desk allocations.
