Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an on-site research coordinator to support an NIH-funded cannabis use disorder study. You will recruit and screen participants, coordinate visits and medication refills, collect biological samples, and enter data in the clinical lab setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree. Preferred: bachelor's in psychology, biology, or health sciences.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and four years of relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
• Preferred Training and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, Biology, Social Sciences or Health Sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of subjects (30%). Develop recruitment materials and provide feedback on recruitment methods.
• Data collection (30%). Administer questionnaires and collect detailed substance use information; collect biological samples and coordinate blood collection; perform EKGs and vitals; enter data.
• Research and regulatory files (15%). Maintain research records and source documentation; assist with regulatory binder maintenance; maintain human subjects training.
• Study medication management (15%). Prepare med orders and obtain physician signatures; monitor and record medication adherence; coordinate medication monitoring visits.
• Protocol (5%). Maintain knowledge of protocol and suggest changes as needed.
• Other duties as assigned (5%).
