Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a research assistant for an NIH-funded study on cannabis use disorder medication development. You will screen and schedule participants, coordinate weekly visits and refills, collect biological samples and questionnaires, and enter data into the study database under Dr.

McRae-Clark's team. This hourly, 40-hour week position requires a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, biology, social sciences or health sciences preferred.
• High school diploma with four years of relevant program experience; bachelor’s may substitute.
• Experience coordinating NIH-funded or clinical research studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and retain study subjects, develop recruitment materials, screen and schedule participants.
• Administer questionnaires, collect substance use data, biological samples, and enter data into the database.
• Maintain regulatory files and training; assist with binder maintenance.
• Prepare medication orders, track adherence, and coordinate monitoring visits.
• Maintain protocol knowledge and propose procedure improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
