Job summary

The Cannabist Company in Lowell, MA is seeking a Production Technician to manage plant processing from post-harvest through packaging and labeling, ensuring final product readiness for customer sale. The role covers drying, curing and trimming per SOPs and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 1–3 years of production experience required.
• General knowledge of weights and measurement.
• Evening/night/weekend work may be required.
• Speed and precision with equipment and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain consistency daily.
• High attention to detail and physical stamina.
• Standing/sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the post-harvest cannabis processing.
• Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, and inspection; maintain sanitation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Transport harvested plants to drying room and hang to dry.
• Hand trim or operate trimming machine to remove excess plant material.
• Weigh, record, and dispose of plant waste with non-cannabis media.
• Receive instructions and assist on tasks as delegated by management.
• Work quickly, efficiently and comply with HR policies including confidentiality.
