Job summary

The Cannabist Company in Lowell, MA has an opening for a Production Technician to manage post-harvest processing through packaging, labeling, and final product readiness. You will follow management direction and SOPs to ensure timely, compliant production and maintain a professional approach to equipment use and facility operations.

Responsibilities include harvesting, drying, trimming, weighing, and packaging, with emphasis on accuracy, cleanliness, and speed.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• 1-3 years of production experience
• General knowledge of weights and measurements
• Evening/night/weekend work may be required
• Speed and precision with equipment
• Ability to multi-task and maintain consistency
• High attention to detail
• Standing/sitting for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Assist in post-harvest plant processing of cannabis
• Perform fan leaf removal, harvesting, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording and product inspection
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Transport harvested plants to drying room and hang to dry
• Hand trim or operate trimming machine to remove excess plant material
• Weigh, record, shred plant waste and dispose of non-cannabis material
• Receive instructions and assist on tasks as delegated by management
• Work efficiently and in a timely manner while following HR policies including confidentiality
