Job summary

Next1 Labs is seeking a Packaging Technician to prepare and package cannabis products, ensuring labels and packaging align with batch data and company SOPs. The role requires accurate weighing, cleanliness, and strict adherence to safety standards on a production floor.

Responsibilities include quality checks, changeovers, and maintaining a well-organized work area while following PPE requirements. Basic math and computer skills are essential, with a focus on compliance and efficient packaging

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old.
• Basic Math skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic computer skills.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Time-management and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Construct boxes and prepare packaging containers for fulfillment of product.
• Perform quality checks by comparing labels with the job card ensuring information matches production batch, strain, potency, OPC/MIP license, and weight.
• Sanitize and clean tools, scales, jars during changeovers between batches.
• Clean and restock items daily.
• Accurately weigh and package product while maintaining presentation and cleanliness and acceptable variances.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
