Job summary

Ayr Wellness, Inc. is hiring a Packaging Lead in Gainesville, FL to oversee safe, accurate packaging and labeling of cannabis products. You will partner with the Packaging Manager to ensure schedules are met and that product integrity is maintained from processing to patient.

The role requires 1–3 years in a regulated production setting, familiarity with LEAF LOGIX and METRC, and the ability to train and supervise staff while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies.
• Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.
• Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Arrive before the rest of the team to set up workstations for the day including tables, chairs, weight scale, product buckets near stations, packaging material, etc.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in accordance with operational, sanitation, and safety SOPs.
• Communicate with the manager to find out the production plan, crew set up and tasks for the day.
• Display and maintain the scheduling on white board.
• Supervise the room, maintaining a safe work environment and assisting team members when needed.
• Manage system movements in LEAF LOGIX by following SOPs.
• Assist with METRC collection, ensuring accurate tracking and logging.
• Make sure processors stay on track and are working to their fullest potential.
• Alert the manager before leaving the room so someone is available to supervise in absence.
• Train newly hired employees on different tasks, ensuring they can meet daily production goals.
• Supervise cleanup at end of shift – making sure everything is clean, swept, and put away properly.
• Assists in fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while perpetuating a curiosity for "everything cannabis".
