Job summary

The State of Vermont, Cannabis Control Board in Montpelier, VT, is seeking a Licensing Agent to support the license application process and fee handling. This role ensures accurate data entry, assists applicants, and helps drive timely licensing decisions in compliance with board rules.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more experience in administration of licensing, regulatory, or compliance programs, records management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Accepting, reviewing, and processing Cannabis Establishment license applications
• Accepting and processing application and licensing fees
• Ensuring accurate data entry, assisting in the preparation of daily deposit
• Providing an excellent customer service
• Following up on application deficiencies via written requests to applicants and making licensing decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and procedures
• Entering and reporting data from the Board's licensing database
• Providing recommendations of suitability for cannabis establishment license applicants and generating referrals to the CCB Compliance & Enforcement division
