Qualifications

  • Proven inventory management experience, ideally in a regulated environment.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, basic reporting).
  • Experience in cannabis distribution or licensed operation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise distribution team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy across inbound, outbound, and in-transit product.
  • Maintain full compliance with seed-to-sale tracking requirements using METRC or similar system.
  • Reconcile inventory counts and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and records.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, and compliance to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Manage distribution documentation, manifests, and transport records per state regulations.
  • Build and maintain reporting/tools in Excel (logs, schedules, variance reports).
  • Ensure all distribution activities meet SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce shrinkage.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Cannabis Distribution Lead to oversee day-to-day distribution operations, manage inventory accuracy, and lead a team responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of product from our facility to retail and wholesale partners. This role requires hands-on knowledge of state cannabis tracking systems and a strong background in inventory and team leadership.

What You'll Do

Lead and supervise distribution team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management

Oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy across incoming, outgoing, and in-transit product

Maintain full compliance with state seed-to-sale tracking requirements using METRC (or equivalent state system)

Reconcile inventory counts and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records

Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, and compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Manage distribution documentation, manifests, and transport records in accordance with state regulations

Build and maintain reporting and tracking tools in Excel (inventory logs, delivery schedules, variance reports)

Ensure all distribution activities meet company SOPs and state regulatory standards

Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce shrinkage or errors

What You'll Need

METRC experience required (or equivalent state cannabis track-and-trace system)

Proven inventory management experience , ideally in a regulated or high-compliance environment

Prior leadership or supervisory experience (team lead, shift lead, or manager)

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, basic reporting/dashboards a plus)

Previous experience working in cannabis distribution or a related licensed cannabis operation

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP platforms

Familiarity with state cannabis transport and manifest regulations

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain

Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
