Job summary

Windy City Cannabis is seeking a Security Dispensary Associate to safeguard customers, staff, and inventory at our Highwood dispensary. You will monitor entry, deter theft, supervise access, and ensure compliance with Illinois cannabis regulations.

In addition to security duties, you will perform cashier tasks, host duties, and POS duties. This part-time, non-exempt role requires 21+ and the ability to obtain an Illinois dispensing agent ID, with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain Illinois dispensing agent ID.
• Cannabis retail experience is a plus.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail or hospitality using POS.
• Stand/walk for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility; verify customer age and ID.
• Patrol interior and exterior; deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms.
• Respond to disturbances and security incidents; de-escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with state/local cannabis security regulations.
