Job summary

Windy City Cannabis seeks a Security Associate to staff our in-store teams. You will help maintain a safe, compliant dispensary environment for customers, staff, and inventory, monitoring entry points and deter theft.

The role requires standing for long periods, passing background/licensing checks, and opening/closing duties. Prior security or retail experience is valued, along with excellent customer service and a collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail or hospitality using POS and basic computer skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to obtain a dispensing agent identification card issued by Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying customer age and ID at entry.
• Patrol premises to deter theft, loitering, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor surveillance and alarm systems.
