Job summary

Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) in Grand Rapids is seeking a Part-Time Dispensary Associate to guide customers through cannabis purchasing, provide product recommendations, and maintain accurate, compliant operations in a fast-paced store.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, cash, data entry, and ensuring inventory and displays are up-to-date. Flexible weekend availability is required for 15–29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Retail experience preferred; cannabis retail experience is a plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Cannabis POS software a plus.
• Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic.
• Willing to learn state/local laws and regulations for cannabis industry.
• Must be compliant with regulatory requirements for cannabis work.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow training and instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class customer experience while maintaining operational integrity and compliance.
• Guide customers through sales transactions and provide advice when requested.
• Ensure sales floor is stocked and displays/menu are up-to-date and accurate.
• Fulfill and pack customer orders and move orders to pickup area.
• Maintain a positive, customer-service oriented environment per policies.
• Continuously develop product knowledge to offer up-to-date information.
• Respond to customer inquiries in-store, online, and by phone.
• Accurately use and maintain the POS system in person and over the phone.
• Accurate cash handling and transaction ringing.
• Data entry of customer information accurately.
• Strive to achieve team and individual performance goals.
• Verify paperwork and required IDs for customers.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, marketing, and other in-store ops.
