Job summary

Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) seeks a Cultivation Manager to lead cultivation from seed to harvest, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. You will plan production, schedule harvests, and guide staffing while maintaining inventory and quality controls.

The role requires deep cannabis cultivation knowledge, data-driven decision making, and strong leadership to train and coach cultivation staff toward meeting yield and compliance targets in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Botany, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in a large-scale commercial greenhouse operation with 2+ years in management.
• Experience in multi-tiered growing environments and hydroponics.
• Knowledge of pest and disease management and nutrient systems.
• Ability to obtain Registered Agent Card and comply with cannabis laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed cultivation plan from seed to harvest.
• Manage harvest schedule to meet business demand.
• Create staffing schedules based on labor needs.
• Support employee performance reviews for cultivation staff.
• Track inventory and maintain supplies in reasonable quantities.
• Ensure clean, well-equipped growing environment and proper operations.
• Produce compliant product meeting lab testing and yield targets.
• Educate staff on vision and company goals and foster accountability.
• Enforce standards of accountability for cultivation staff.
• Conduct regular quality assessments for pests/disease.
• Train staff on SOPs and maintain required records.
