Job summary

The writer will ensure all project documents are clear, accurate, and aligned with Navy CANES standards for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position requires an Active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of technical writing in technical, engineering, Navy, or federal environments.
• Navy or CANES program experience strongly preferred.
• Experience developing and editing user manuals, SOPs, system documentation, proposals/RFP responses, and knowledge-base articles.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, structured, accessible documentation.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Active Secret Clearance.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting mission-critical federal programs in a fully remote role. The CANES Technical Writer will play a key role in ensuring all project documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with Navy standards, supporting both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the prototype lifecycle.

The position requires an Active Secret Clearance to be considered.

Responsibilities of the CANES Technical Writer include:

Compensation for the CANES Technical Writer includes:

• Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
