Job summary

See’s Candies is seeking a production supervisor to oversee staff, train forepersons, and manage performance under GMP guidelines. The role ensures candy is produced and packed correctly, with attention to safety and quality, including night shifts during peak seasons.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of supervision experience in a union setting, a related bachelor's degree, and strong skills in scheduling, inventory, and problem solving. See’s offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience supervising a union workforce.
• Bachelor degree in food science, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• Background in food manufacturing with GMPs and food safety.
• Strong people management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems or production scheduling; ROSS ERP a plus.
• Strong mathematical proficiency and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise production staff, including training and performance management of forepersons and team.
• Assist in development, implementation and monitoring of inventory and schedules to meet production needs.
• Monitor and direct general operations and quality of product and packaging.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with GMPs and food safety standards.
• Maintain SOPs and procedures; support safety and cost goals.
