See’s Candies is seeking a Packing Supervisor to oversee packing staff, ensure proper packaging, and manage scheduling to support selling departments. Night shifts and weekend work may be required during peak seasons.

Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year, with base pay varying by location, knowledge, skills and experience. This role emphasizes food safety, GMP adherence, and leadership in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Strong people management, communication, motivational, and customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in Spanish or Cantonese highly required.
• Two to five years’ experience supervising a union workforce with a diverse employee population.
• Food manufacturing preferred, with a strong background in GMPs and Food Safety.
• Strong mathematical proficiency; excellent PC skills.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or production scheduling preferred.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Supervise packing staff, including training and development of forepersons and performance management.
• Develop, implement and monitor inventory and schedules to ensure timely production.
• Assist Packing Managers with scheduling to ensure product availability.
• Input/modify schedules using the Packing Department scheduling systems.
• Monitor packing operations and quality of product and packaging.
• Maintain compliance with safety, GMP and quality standards.
• Support safety, food safety and cost-goal initiatives across the department.
