Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA invites applications for a Patient Care Tech. This role supports licensed nurses by performing delegated patient care tasks on three 12-hour night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions, discharges, and ensuring patient safety. Candidates must have HS Diploma and certification such as CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or related programs; current students in clinicals or PCT/Nursing Assistant

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; must have one of the listed certifications or be enrolled in a clinical program.
• CNA, NCMA or NCPCT certification preferred; Navy Hospital Corps School acceptable.
• Current or recent PCT/Nursing Assistant experience is eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient safety practices.
• Observe patients’ physical, mental and emotional conditions and report changes.
