Sentara Health in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Patient Care Tech to work third shift on nights. You will assist licensed nurses with delegated care, support admissions and discharges, and monitor patients under supervision.
This role requires a HS diploma and one of several recognized certifications (CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or Navy Hospital Corps School). Relevant PCT experience or student in a clinical program is valued. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma is required with one of the listed certifications.
- Certification in CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent is required or in progress.
- Experience as a PCT or Nursing Assistant within the last three years is preferred.
- Current student in a clinical program with at least one semester completed acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under supervision of a nurse.
- Support admissions and discharge processes.
- Observe patient conditions and report changes to the nurse.
- Comply with patient safety practices during care.
