The Cancer Registrar works independently, managing the cancer registry, accreditation activities, patient care evaluations, quality improvement, cancer conferences, annual reports, and education programs. Regular communication with the Iowa State Health registry is required to maintain data standards aligned with the SEER program of the NCI.
