Job summary

Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center—Cancer Prevention and Control Program is seeking a Research Coordinator to support breast cancer research under NCI/ACS grants. You will contribute to survivorship, health equity, and disparity projects, including IRB coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and analysis.

The role reports to an Assistant Professor and involves collaboration with community organizations, and a hybrid work model with two days on site.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Psychology, Health Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Anthropology or closely related fields.
• Master in health-related sciences preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Cultural competence; experience with diverse populations.
• Experience working both independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Prior research experience; IRB protocols; interviews and surveys; data collection tools (REDCap) and statistical programs (SPSS, SAS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare IRB documents and related tasks.
• Recruit, consent and interview participants.
• Develop intervention materials for studies.
• Conduct data collection surveys and interviews.
• Data entry, coding and analysis of qualitative/quantitative data.
• Assist with grant writing and manuscript preparation.
• Coordinate trainings and communicate with study sites.
