Qualifications
- Minimum: Two years of hospital experience in an inpatient, decentralized setting.
- Experience with sterile compounding and chemotherapy admixing and preparation.
- Desired: Completed a Chemo Certification Course.
- Computer experience with pharmacy programs and with Windows.
Responsibilities
- Train and orient the Pharmacy Technicians in sterile compounding procedures, IV room quality reports, clean room procedures.
- Managing Cancer Center Pharmacy inventory, is responsible for procurement, receiving and inventory control of pharmaceuticals, and for processing purchase orders and invoices.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining patient records.
