Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the Lebanon 3K Medical Oncology and Hematology clinics within the Dartmouth Cancer Center. You will oversee day-to-day business operations and supervise clinical secretaries, infusion schedulers, and new patient schedulers.

You will collaborate with physicians, nursing, and admin leaders to optimize access, patient flow, scheduling, care coordination, service excellence, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of supervisory/management experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Excellent organization, interpersonal, oral and writing skills required.
• Exemplary leadership qualities.
• Prior experience with budgetary preparation and systems development required.
• Ability to relate and deal effectively with physicians, administrators, support staff, and the general public with tact and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Leads the health care team of each assigned section in all aspects of daily operations.
• Interviews and hires new support staff; trains and evaluates staff; fosters development and maintains a harmonious work environment.
• continually assesses section needs and adjusts support staff roles.
• Manages operational/informational systems; develops efficient procedures and standardizes systems.
• Facilitates multidisciplinary problem-solving with other departments.
• Develops new programs to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Oversees financial management: budget development, monitoring, and improvements.
• Leads efforts to maximize revenues and control costs; coordinates with departmental financial plans.
• Ensures adherence to nursing standards and institutional policies.
