Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Lab Assistant - CMA to support specimen collection, testing and patient flow under the Office Manager. You will perform in-house analyses, maintain logs, and ensure quality control while handling patient specimens and data entry in ONCO EMR.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CMA certification from an approved board, and BLS certification with at least six months of Medical Assistant experience.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required on hire or within 30 days.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from approved boards required.
• Minimum six months of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Collects appropriate specimens from patients as ordered.
• Sends specimens to reference laboratories for tests not done in-house.
• Maintains documentation per QA program, including logs and checklists.
• Charts patient results in a timely manner.
• Input in ONCO EMR and maintain daily paperwork and lab logs.
• Perform in-house lab testing and process results for charting.
• Take vitals, assist in patient assessments, and room patients.
• Comply with safety, regulatory standards, and confidentiality.
