Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC is seeking a Lab Assistant to collect, process, and test specimens, perform blood draws, document results, and support patient flow under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Required is a High School diploma or GED and BLS within 30 days, plus at least six months of Medical Assistant experience. The role involves adherence to safety standards and ongoing CEUs to meet COLA requirements.

Qualifications

• Six months of active Medical Assistant experience or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients as ordered.
• Perform in-house lab testing and process results for charting.
• Maintain logs and quality control records.
• Input data into ONCO EMR and manage patient vitals.
• Prepare slides and assist with medically required procedures.
