Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a compassionate Massage Therapist for its Grosse Pointe Woods wellness team. You will perform Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage to support cancer patients and the community.

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years of professional massage therapy experience.
Completion of an accredited massage therapy program.
Valid Michigan massage therapy license or certification.
CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage per client needs.
Conduct thorough client consultations to understand health history and wellness goals.
Maintain detailed client records, treatment notes, and progress.
Create a welcoming, relaxing environment while ensuring client comfort.
Ensure equipment, linens, and treatment areas meet health and safety standards.
Communicate treatment options, outcomes, and contraindications clearly.
Adapt techniques based on client feedback and health considerations.
Manage appointment scheduling and punctuality for smooth flow.
Stay current with industry best practices and continue professional development.
Uphold professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
