Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy.
• Certifications required: CCI Cardio graphic Tech, ARRT in Radiation Therapy, ARDMS, or BLS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient prescriptions to ascertain treatment type and location.
• Administers ionizing radiation as prescribed by the physician.
• Verifies radiation prescriptions and records doses in patient charts.
• Documents treatment in inpatient charts and coordinates daily treatments.
• Assists patients with appointment scheduling and transportation needs.
• Refers patients to social workers for counseling and equipment needs.
• Rotates through treatment areas and maintains treatment rooms and supplies.
• Teaches radiation therapy students as required.
