The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia (UVA Health) seeks a Lead Laboratory Technologist for the Cancer Care Laboratories. You will serve as the primary technical resource across Emily Couric Cancer Center, Pantops, and Fishersville/Augusta, balancing hands-on expertise with leadership, quality oversight, and staff development.

• Bachelor’s degree with NAACLS approved MLS/CLS program completed.
• BS in Biology/Chemistry or related science with relevant clinical lab experience requested.
• MT or categorical ASCP or equivalent licencia required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical operations across multiple cancer care laboratory locations.
• Oversee instrument validation, correlations, and technical assessments.
• Ensure CAP compliance and accreditation readiness across sites.
• Support onboarding, training, and competency development of staff.
• Collaborate with medical leadership and clinical partners to improve quality.
