Job summary
UVA Health is seeking a Lead Technologist specializing in Cancer Care laboratories to serve as the technical expert supporting expansion across outpatient locations, including Emily Couric Cancer Center, Pantops, and Fishersville/Augusta. You will balance hands-on lab work with leadership, quality oversight, validation, and staff competency across a growing cancer lab network.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with NAACLS-approved MLS/CLS program completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science.
- MT or categorical, ASCP or equivalent required.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical operations across multiple cancer care lab locations.
- Perform and oversee instrument validations, correlations, and technical assessments.
- Ensure CAP standards and accreditation compliance.
- Monitor quality assurance metrics and continuous improvement.
- Support onboarding, training, and competency assessment of staff.
- Travel between laboratory locations as needed.
