Job summary
UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Lead Technologist for Lab Automation to drive Core Laboratory automation, troubleshoot instrumentation, and influence workflow evolution. The position focuses on expanding total laboratory automation, integrating middleware, and ensuring efficient, connected workflows across multiple lab disciplines.
Qualifications
- Candidate has completed a NAACLS approved MLS/CLS program.
- Degree in Biology or Chemistry or related science is required or highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshoot laboratory automation systems and instrumentation.
- Investigate equipment issues and perform hands-on technical troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff on workflow optimization and automation expansion.
- Train and mentor laboratory personnel on automation processes and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Help implement automation across Core Laboratory workflows.
