Orica is seeking a Payroll Officer to support accurate bi-weekly and monthly Canadian payroll processing. You will collaborate with employees, HR, and Finance to ensure timely payroll delivery and high-quality customer service.

This role emphasizes data integrity, system integration with Dayforce, and timely responses to payroll inquiries in a fast-paced, global environment. A strong attention to detail and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing Canadian payroll is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Dayforce payroll system is an asset.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation, deductions and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions and wage calculations in Dayforce.
• Verify payroll data prior to final submission.
• Review and manage payroll information flow between systems and stakeholders.
• Validate and process employee lifecycle changes (hiring, promotions, garnishments).
• Ensure payroll files are accurately prepared and uploaded.
