Job summary

Indian Rocks Church in Clearwater is seeking a Worship Ministry Leader to guide the Clearwater Campus worship program, develop talent, and coordinate services.

You will lead corporate worship with strong vocal and instrumental skills, train staff and volunteers, plan music for weddings and events, and collaborate with the Lead Pastor to maintain high musical standards across services.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or be actively pursuing a college or seminary degree in ministry or related field.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and guide a multi-ministry church staff.
• Demonstrate high-level vocal excellence and instrumental skill (guitar or keys).
• Ability to travel to multiple campuses.
• Commitment to church mission and lifestyle expectations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and manage Worship Ministry staff and volunteers (praise teams, ensembles, production).
• Plan and provide media support for concerts, productions, weddings, and events.
• Develop and supervise maintenance of the music library and instrument inventory.

Description

To serve our Clearwater Campus by leading, developing, managing, and coordinating a Worship Ministry to evangelize, baptize, and support the mission of Indian Rocks Church and Christian School. To guide, teach, and nurture the music ministry through worship music and talent development. To provide leadership, training, and supervision to staff and volunteers in the music ministry.

• Lead corporate worship with strong vocal and instrumental performance, ensuring high musical standards, creative arrangements, and seamless transitions during all services and events.
• Consult with the Lead Pastor to prepare and deliver the musical content for the church and Worship Ministry, including special music programs.
• Recruit, develop, and manage Worship Ministry Staff and volunteers to create an effective ministry program, including praise teams, accompaniment, orchestration, production, and ensembles.
• Plan, organize and provide media support for concerts, productions, and events with guest artists as well as music for weddings, funerals
• Develop and supervise the maintenance of the music library, following legal guidelines and managing costs. Protect and maintain all musical instruments and equipment, keeping an inventory.

Requirements

• Education: Must have completed or be actively pursuing a College and/or seminary degree, desired for ministry work.
• Experience: Must have a verifiable ministry experience working with Music Ministry and proven leadership ability to motivate, lead, and impact members and prospects to work with a multi-ministry church staff
• Demonstrate high-level vocal excellence and instrumental skill (guitar or keys), with a proven ability to lead modern worship styles, direct band arrangements, and craft engaging musical environments.
• Ability to travel to multiple campuses.
• Responsible for performing the other duties as assigned and approved by supervising personnel, to include, but not limited to: Lead Pastor, Church Administrator, or Personnel Committee

• Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
• Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the; the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks.
• Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithful in tithing.
