Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for the Student Health and Wellness Ambassador role at the Wellness Center. You will greet members, promote wellness, provide customer service, conduct tours, and support events within the MUSC community.

Responsibilities

• Greet members at the Member Services Desk with a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of members and guests (25%)
• Help create a culture of wellness by role modeling healthy behaviors, providing excellent customer service, and conducting tours for guests and prospective members (15%)
• Process point-of-sale credit card transactions, including the sale of guest passes and memberships, and input transactions into the membership management system (10%)
• Answer member questions and provide assistance to participants in the cardio, weight room, and other fitness areas (10%)
• Uphold safety and cleaning policies, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment (10%)
• Manage the lobby area to ensure it is clean, organized, and welcoming; contact housekeeping as needed (10%)
• Perform opening and closing operational procedures as assigned (5%)
• Offer new member equipment instruction and orientation (5%)
• Serve as a Program Assistant as needed and complete all required training (5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned (5%)
