Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Student Health and Wellness Ambassador to welcome Wellness Center members and promote health initiatives. You will deliver exceptional customer service, educate members about services, and support engagement activities within the MUSC community.

Applicants must be actively enrolled as MUSC students. The role includes greeting, tours, POS transactions, and assisting in cardio and weight areas while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled as an MUSC student.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to process POS transactions and maintain member records.
• Willingness to conduct member tours and orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet members at the Member Services Desk with a commitment to improving health and well-being. (25%)
• Help create a culture of wellness by role modeling healthy behaviors and providing customer service. (15%)
• Process point-of-sale transactions and input into the membership system. (10%)
• Answer member questions and assist participants in cardio, weight room, and fitness areas. (10%)
• Uphold safety and cleaning policies and sanitize equipment. (10%)
• Manage the lobby area to keep it clean and welcoming; contact housekeeping as needed. (10%)
• Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned. (5%)
• Offer new member equipment instruction and orientation. (5%)
• Serve as a Program Assistant as needed and complete required training. (5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned. (5%)
