Job summary

Mississippi State University is seeking a Coordinator, Welcome Center to manage the visitor experience out of the Cullis Wade Depot. The role oversees campus tours, marketing outreach, special events, and supervises student staff in the Maroon VIP program.

Responsibilities include budget oversight, collaborating with the Student Recruitment and Marketing team, and teaching a credit course on MSU facts for Maroon VIP members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in higher education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Welcome Center and shape a campus visit experience aligned with university brand.
• Lead direct outreach marketing to the campus community and general public for the Welcome Center.
• Evaluate campus tours and adjust them based on feedback and outcomes.
• Produce routine promotional printed materials for the visitor program.
• Plan or assist with special events, receptions, and luncheons.
• Manage the unit budget and monitor expenditures.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff, student workers, and volunteers.
• Advise and train the Maroon Visitor Information Program (Maroon VIP) student volunteers.
• Teach the required credit course covering Mississippi State University facts and history for Maroon VIP members.
• Partner with Student Recruitment and Marketing on campus visits and recruitment events.
