Job summary

Northwest Missouri State University located in Maryville, Missouri, seeks a Campus Visit Assistant to support the Mabel Cook Admissions and Visitors’ Center and the campus tour program. You will work with the Admissions-Recruitment team to assist with recruitment activities and visitor services.

The role emphasizes frontline guest interaction, scheduling visits, and coordinating events, with a regular 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule and potential night/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some coursework toward a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the field or a related area.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead Visitors’ Center representative in day-to-day operations and ensure a high-quality visitor experience.
• Open/close the Visitors’ Center, receive visitors, and answer main phone line.
• Greet guests at recruitment events, provide directions, answer questions, and troubleshoot logistics.
• Assist Daily Tour Coordinator with scheduling faculty appointments, registering visits, and calendar management.
• Assist with departmental visit days including event setup, guest services, and post-event wrap-up.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area and ensure resources are stocked and organized.
• Collaborate with recruitment staff, student ambassadors, and campus partners for visitor experiences.
• Maintain visitor records in the CRM (data input, event registrations, communications).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
