Job summary

Oklahoma Baptist University is seeking a Tech Support Specialist to assist students and employees with questions and issues related to technology. The role involves both in-person and remote support, guiding users through configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance for IT systems.

Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. A high school diploma is required, with 6 months of related experience; 2 years preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred IT-related degree or vocational IT program.
• 6 months of related experience required.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience in a HelpDesk setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance via phone, in person, tickets, or email.
• Listen to customers and offer optimal solutions.
• Guide users through system configuration and troubleshooting.
• Escalate unresolved issues when needed.
• Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Track time worked and follow up on ticket status.
• Provide training resources and standardized procedures.
