Job summary

Huntley Community School District 158 is seeking a Campus Supervisor at Heineman Middle School to help maintain safety and order during school hours. The position is 10 months long, full-time, with an immediate start date.

You will enforce school rules, supervise the In-School Suspension room, monitor areas such as the parking lot, and support the administrator and safety team in drills and emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with staff, parents and students.
• Calm demeanor with minimal supervision.
• Basic math and computer skills including Google Suite and general office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the rules and procedures in the School handbook.
• Supervise and manage the In-School Suspension room.
• Supervise students in various locations including the parking lot and school areas during school hours.
• Assist the administrator daily and support the school safety committee.
• Aid in emergency responses and drills and assist school personnel in day-to-day tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

LOCATION OF WORK: Heineman Middle School
START DATE: Immediately
WORK HOURS: 10 Months / Full-Time
RANGE OF PAY: $18.03 - $19.28 / Hour
BENEFITS: HESPA, IMRF, Voluntary Retirement, Insurance
CLASSIFICATION: HESPA

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the enforcement of the rules and regulations stated in the School handbook. Supervise and follow procedures in the In-School Suspension room. Supervise students in a variety of locations, including the parking lot, throughout the school during school hours. Work with the assigned Administrator on a daily basis and assist them in their duties and act as support team member on the school safety committee. As a member of the campus security team, a candidate will aid in the response to emergency situations and drills as well as assisting various school personnel in day to day tasks. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED, good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Calm demeanor and ability to work with minimal supervision. Basic math and computer skills such as Google Suite as well as some general office skills are needed.
