Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, a growing nonprofit school network, is opening a new Worthington campus and seeking a Student Support Specialist. The role supports hybrid learners, coordinates with campus staff, and ensures compliance with ABHES and state requirements.

The SSA works to help students succeed, retain, and complete programs in nursing, medical assisting, and more. You will engage with students, assist with financial aid processes, and collaborate with Faculty and Career Services to ensure

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher required or preferred
• 2+ years’ work experience in banking, office administration, or general office with emphasis on customer service
• Willingness to work two evenings a week and campus-based environment
• Nursing or medical office exposure is a plus
• Ability to protect privacy and handle confidential information

Responsibilities

• Retain students by contacting absent or high-risk students and developing support plans
• Assist with financial aid processing, document collection, and campus payments
• Coordinate with Faculty and Associate Director to engage students from day 1 to graduation
• Prepare certificates of completion and graduation materials
• Support hybrid students with onboarding and Canvas LMS troubleshooting
• Maintain compliance and documentation meeting ABHES, Federal, State, and internal standards
• Collaborate with Career Services to prepare students for externships and outcomes
