Job summary

Midlands Technical College is seeking a customer service professional to support students and staff at the Harbison Campus. The role handles inquiries in person, by phone, and in writing, resolving issues quickly and professionally.

The successful candidate will register students, process payments, and communicate class details and enrollment requirements while maintaining courteous service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and two (2) years of relevant customer service experience; or a high school diploma and three (3) years of relevant customer service experience.
• Experience with Colleague
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service support to both internal and external customers through telephone, written, and in-person inquiries. Receives inbound calls and makes outbound calls.
• Provides support to customers and staff, handles inquiries, and provides solutions.
• Registers students and takes payments.
• Communicates in an efficient, effective, and professional manner to resolve all customer issues such as student registration and financial arrangements, etc.
• Communicates class/program details and requirements to customers efficiently and effectively.
• Utilizes strong customer skills to assist staff with class enrollment management.
• Other duties as needed.
